Year 12 German excursion

On Wednesday 14 June, the SHHS Year 12 German class navigated train delays and countless cancellations to attend the HSC German Workshop at the Goethe-Institut in Edgecliff, Sydney. Under the guidance of experienced teachers, students were able to prepare for their upcoming Continuers and Extension oral examinations with intensive speaking workshops, table tennis, gummibears and a few rounds of speed dating. The highlight of the day was being able to bring our German exchange partners from Rhön Gymnasium in Bad Neustadt an der Saale, Bavaria and attempting to (unsuccessfully) convince students from other schools that they were simply exceptionally talented Australian students.

As per tradition, the day ended with a hearty Schnitzel with Rösti at Una's Restaurant.
