School Uniform
The school community has agreed that there should be a uniform code of dress for all students attending Smith's Hill High School. In accordance with Department of School Education Guidelines, it is expected that all students who accept a place at Smith's Hill High School will abide by this dress code. To comply with the Australian Workplace Health and Safety Regulations, black leather shoes, not canvas, are required to be worn. Acceptable school shoes
Uniform shop price list and online ordering
Smith's Hill High School and the School Locker are pleased to offer an online ordering system for the purchase of school uniforms. This website will enable parents and students who are unable to visit the school uniform shop during opening hours to check prices of school uniforms or purchase school uniforms anytime. Simply create an account profile, place your order, pay and select 'walk in' to pick up your order from the school uniform shop on the next open day.
The School Locker operates a uniform shop at the school and is the only supplier of all the school uniform needs for the students. It is open throughout the school year (hours to be advised). A percentage of all sales made by the Uniform Shop are directed back to the school for the purchase of equipment and support for the students.
Junior Students
The uniform for junior students consists of:-
Junior white blouse with school emblem or junior white shirt with school emblem
Navy blue tartan skirt, navy blue shorts, trousers or slacks
White, grey, black or navy blue socks
Black enclosed leather shoes
The junior uniform may also include:
School V-neck jumper
School windbreaker jacket
School zippered jacket
Blank white undershirt
Navy blue hats, beanies, gloves and scarves
Any school tie
Allowed school-related jumpers, jackets or hoodies as stated below
The sports uniform for all junior students consists of:
Gold, navy and white sport shirt with school emblem
Navy blue sport shorts with gold trim or navy blue tracksuit pants
White, grey, black or navy blue socks
Joggers or black enclosed leather shoes
Sports day - Students may wear their sports uniform instead of normal school uniform
PDHPE lessons - Students may wear their sports uniform to school if their PDHPE class is first period and then change into school uniform for the rest of the day. If students have a PDHPE class last period they are to wear their school uniform to school and then change into their sports uniform for PDHPE class and then wear it home.
School-related jumpers, jackets and hoodies for all students:
If a jumper, jacket or hoodie has been organised through the school and has the Smith Hill emblem and the school colours of navy blue and gold (white is optional), it is allowed as part of the school uniform. For example overseas study tour jackets.
* NOTE students may only wear their own jacket (ie that of the year they travel), not one of an older relative or friend.
CHS and other sport-related apparel are not school uniform and thus not allowed.
Senior Students
The uniform for all senior students consists of:
Senior white blouse with “SHHS” written on the shirt pocket or senior white shirt with “SHHS” written on the shirt pocket
Navy blue skirt, grey shorts or grey slacks
White, grey, black or navy blue socks
Black enclosed leather shoes
The senior uniform may also include:
School V-neck jumper
School windbreaker jacket
School zippered jacket
Blank white undershirt
Navy blue hats, beanies, gloves and scarves
Any school tie
Allowed school-related jumpers, jackets or hoodies as stated below
School senior jacket * NOTE students may only wear their own jacket (ie that of their year group), not one of an older relative or friend.

Standards of Uniform
Black leather enclosed shoes should include black laces and no coloured sole or markings.
On certain formal occasions, the school blazer must be worn with the uniform. This is decided by the organising staff of the occasion and may not apply to all attending students.
Tights may only be worn underneath skirts or shorts
(School caps or brimmed hats are available from the Uniform Shop, scarves, other hats and beanies to be in navy.)
