Year 9 Stammtisch at The German Club

On Thursday 30 June, the Year 9 German class were invited to bring their Familie, Freunde and einen großen Hunger for a hearty meal at the German Club in Kembla Grange.

Traditionally, a Stammtisch is a large table reserved for regular patrons at a restaurant - and to celebrate our first class dinner since 2019, we were welcomed back most graciously by Robert and Jake Prstec (SHHS alumnus of 2020).

Students showcased their language skills by ordering their meals in German and impressed curious onlookers by consuming copious amounts of Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln and Schweinshaxe. It was the cherry on top for our recent unit on German cuisine and more importantly, a lovely night for all.
