A flurry of activity was undertaken over 24 and 25 May as the SHHS Year 7 and Year 11 da Vinci Decathlon teams battled 3200 other students in the state championships. For the second year in a row students participated in an online environment uploading challenging academic papers in Mathematics, Science, English and others, art works were created, and engineering models built, as well as videos of enthusiastic dramatic performances.
Teamwork and resiliency were evident as every task was completed to the best of students’ ability. Team results and overall finalists are released on Friday 3 June at 7:45am and SHHS students are invited to attend the presentations being broadcast in the school’s Lecture Theatre.
Regardless of the outcome, students who participated built valuable skills and knowledge while having fun and realising their personal best.
