Library News

Our Library is still open for students to come in and select resources to borrow eg. study guides or novels. There is also the option for students to browse our catalogue through the "My Library" link in their Student Portal.  See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5kriaCfj0E&feature=youtu.be for how to access the Oliver catalogue via the student portal.

If there is a particular resource they would like to borrow, a request can be forwarded to the school and the resource/s can be left for collection at the front desk in the Administration building.

The Library staff have been busy these past couple of weeks carrying out a stocktake of our non-fiction section and processing some new fiction books for our students to borrow when they are back at school.

The Library has now subscribed to Wheelers eBooks where students will find a wide range of free online books to borrow.

Below is the link to a YouTube clip showing you how to download the app for the ePlatform:-

Once you have downloaded the ePlatform app, students will need to search for our School and then login using their DET logon details.

There are over 1200 titles to choose from, so happy holiday reading!!

Wollongong City Libraries

Wollongong City Libraries are now closed to the public, so students don't have access to borrow print versions of books. However, students can join online to be able to borrow eBooks and access the eResources. Previously, students had to attend their local library with a parent to join, but of course, that is no longer possible.

Here are the instructions for students to join online:

  1. Click on this link https://wollongong.spydus.com/cgi-bin/spydus.exe/MSGTRN/WPAC/JOIN to go to the Wollongong City Libraries' online membership information page.
  2. Click on agree to accept the terms and conditions. You will then be taken to a membership form to be completed online. It is important for a parent to complete the additional section if you are under 16 years of age.
  3. Once the form has been submitted, you will receive an email with your library barcode number - this may take a day or two if there is heavy demand. The barcode number is important to be able to gain access to the e-books and online resources. Your membership card will be posted in the mail.

Instructions for borrowing eBooks from Wollongong City Libraries:
