Smith's Hill High School held a Bridge Building competition this term, open to all Year 9 students. This was to determine who will represent the school for the annual Aurecon Bridge Building Challenge.
Students were provided with 300 paddle pop sticks, 5m of string, a bottle of glue and size specifications. The bridges tested exceeded all expectations and were extremely tough to break. The winning bridge ended up holding 90kg.
Thank you to all the students who took part in this event and congratulations to the winners; Mazaya, Ethan and Nina. It is now time to start designing a bridge for the national competition!
