The Smith's Hill High School community has a strong commitment to a school uniform policy and students have been provided with a variety of uniform options to cater for varying tastes and climatic conditions. The tone and prestige of a school is important for the future of students as they leave and join the wider community. The correct school uniform helps in creating a sense of belonging and assists in developing the correct mindset in the student about the purpose of school for the day.
As the cooler weather approaches, students should ensure they have the uniform items they need to be warm and comfortable through winter. School tracksuit pants are part of the school sports uniform and may be worn on Thursdays by junior students. On other days, students should ensure they are wearing school trousers or tights for warmth. The uniform shop has options for school jumpers/jackets. Students may also purchase a V-neck plain blue navy jumper.
Students have a responsibility to be in full school uniform every day, including the wearing of sports uniform for juniors on Thursday. Students may choose any style of school shoe as long as it is all black and all leather. Black joggers with a mesh upper do not meet health and safety requirements.
Student assistance is available for students who are having difficulty meeting uniform requirements. If you need to discuss any uniform needs please contact your child's Year Adviser or the Deputy Principal responsible for their cohort.
