Brendan Harris receives Victor Chang School Science Award
15 Nov 2016
Congratulations to Brendan Harris Y11 who was recently presented with a Victor Chang School Science Award as a result of his deep interest, commitment to his studies and outstanding results in Chemistry and Biology (completed at the HSC level in 2016) and Physics.
In addition to supporting a vision to reduce the incidence, severity and impact of heart diseases, the VCCRI presents the ‘Victor Chang School Science Awards' to students who have demonstrated the highest level of educational achievement, innovation, and creativity in Science.
As part of the award, recipients receive a guided tour of the Victor Chang Institute and see all the remarkable work that their researchers do every single day. Students will have an opportunity to explore the laboratories, meet the inspiring scientists trying to find cures for heart disease, and develop an understanding of the importance of medical research. This is a wonderful opportunity for Brendan. Well done.
