LivingWorks suicide first-aid training is available for free to NSW communities including all NSW high school teachers, staff, parents, carers and school communities.
“We can all help to keep our youth safe from suicide by learning the skills and steps to safely reach in when we see a young person could be having thoughts of suicide: this is the call-to-action for parents, carers and communities across the state from a new NSW training initiative led by LivingWorks Australia.
Parents, carers, teachers, sporting and community groups are encouraged to take advantage of the free LivingWorks training now available, either online or at an in-person workshop.
This is the largest suicide prevention training blitz in the world and aims to create a network of safety around young people in NSW by training their most trusted peer, adult and community touchpoints in how to recognise the signs that someone may be thinking about suicide, intervene, and refer to further help.
