Congratulations to the Smith’s Hill High School Senior Open Girls Netball team who played with outstanding skill and determination at the NSW Combined High Schools Sports competition.
It was the first time a Smith’s Hill team had qualified for the State finals and it was a gruelling two days of quick passes, lobs and intercepts – all testing the girls skills and resilience.
The team gave 100% effort in every game, contesting passes and encouraging one another to do their best. It’s not about how we ranked in State, (although we’ll happily accept 14th in NSW), it’s the positive culture and mindset to encounter defeat but not be defeated.
Thank you to the parents and families for their support of their daughters. Special thanks to the ‘Dream team – the girls’, for your love of netball, support of one another and for representing Smith’s Hill High School with distinction.
