Extra curricular

There are many activities within the school which allow students to develop particular talents, share common interests and gain wider experiences.  The following are some of the activities offered at Smith's Hill:

Debating, Public Speaking and Mock Trial

Students have the opportunity to participate in debating and public speaking competitions within the school and in inter-school competitions. The school also participates in the Mock Trial Competition.

Music groups

Tournament of Minds

Students have the opportunity to participate in the Tournament of the Minds Competition: http://www.tom.edu.au

Camps

The school conducts camps for various year groups throughout the year. These camps are supervised by members of staff and afford valuable educational experience outside the classroom.

Chess Club

The Chess Club meets regularly in the Library and our students compete with chess players from other schools.

Other Groups

There are a large number of student groups at Smith's Hill High School where students can engage in a variety of activies they're interested. Some of these include:

Art, Volleyball Training, Jelly Fish Japanese Club, SQuID, Smith's Fortnightly Student Newsletter Club, Student Environmental Action League, Sea++, Smith's Hill Basketball, School Service Logbook Team, Islam Prayer Group, DINKUS, FISH (Fellowship in Smiths Hill).
