Smith's Hill High School have two student groups (the School Environmental Action League and our Thursday morning gardening group) that have been planning and working on improving the natural environment of our school. They currently have plans to plant out several garden areas with native flowering plants to replace introduced / weed species.
To support their initiative and to further improve our school grounds, we will be holding a working bee at the school next Saturday 3 December between 8:30am and 1:30pm. Entry via Gipps Street entrance or the Church Street car park. Sign on for all volunteers at the top quadrangle (near the flagpoles).
In addition to making a significant improvement to our school grounds, the working bee held earlier this year proved to be a valuable opportunity for parents, students and staff to connect. If you are able to assist for any length of time, it would be greatly appreciated.
