Careers News January 2019

All of Year 12 had a very worthwhile day at the University of Wollongong on Tuesday 3 February. After the inspiring introduction from the Discovery Day keynote speaker, students had the opportunity to sample the courses and degrees, which might become part of their decision process regarding their post school pathways. The feedback from students has underlined the need to research and consider the many and varied options available in tertiary education.

Many students enjoyed the ‘vibe’ on the day and all felt encouraged by the experience. The day clarified some decisions students were considering regarding interests as opposed to employment driven choices.

Australian National University has a new model for all their admissions, accommodation and scholarships, which will apply to all undergraduate programs from 2020 onwards. Applications will open in March 2019 for students who will begin studies at ANU in Semester 1, 2020.

If students are interested in studying at ANU there is a transition resource available through the program email : firstyear@anu.edu.a
