The Council provides a process through which members of the School Community and the community may give opinions on the policies and issues affecting the School. The Council widens the scope of community participation. In particular, the Council allows the student body and the wider community an opportunity to advise on school policy and issues. The Council does not diminish or displace existing operational bodies in the School rather, it should enhance their roles by giving them the opportunity to be informed about and comment upon policies and issues.
